Amy Whitler, MSN, APRN, AGNP-C is a dedicated, board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner with extensive clinical experience delivering compassionate, patient-centered care across acute, outpatient, and surgical settings. She is known for her thoughtful approach, thorough care management, and strong commitment to helping adult and geriatric patients navigate complex medical conditions with confidence.

With over two decades of healthcare experience, Amy’s primary focus is on providing evidence-based care tailored to the unique needs of each patient. She works closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to build lasting relationships, manage chronic conditions, and promote optimal quality of life.

Outside of her professional role, Amy has made her home in Bowling Green, Kentucky for her entire adult life. She deeply values enjoying time with her family. In her leisure time, Amy enjoys golf cart rides on the farm, traveling to the beach, exploring small towns in search of cute coffee shops, and propagating and caring for her flowers.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Amy brings a rich background spanning more than two decades in both nursing practice and advanced practitioner roles, with deep expertise in acute care, chronic disease management, and specialized patient education.

  • Nephrology Care Management: 7 years of Nurse Practitioner experience in private practice nephrology, managing acute and outpatient care for patients with kidney disease, dialysis needs, and complex comorbidities.

  • Medical-Surgical & Surgical Nursing: 13 years of RN experience at the Medical Center of Bowling Green, specializing in medical-surgical care as well as preoperative, postoperative, and wound care management.

  • Complex Chronic Disease Care: Extensive background in multi-system care coordination and long-term disease management.
