Southern Kentucky Vascular Partners with Somerset Community College to Help Train Future Radiologic Technologists

Clinical training partnership gives Somerset Community College radiography students hands-on experience

Press Release | SOMERSET, KY — Southern Kentucky Vascular has been recognized as a clinical setting for the Radiography program at Somerset Community College. The recognition comes from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), the accrediting agency for programs in radiologic sciences.

Through the partnership, Somerset Community College radiography students will gain hands-on clinical experience at Southern Kentucky Vascular, learning alongside experienced professionals in a real patient care setting.

“Supporting local students as they build their careers in health care is one of the best ways we can give back. Helping students gain hands-on experience here means investing in the future of health care for our neighbors,” said Dr. Don Brown, board certified vascular surgeon and founder of Southern Kentucky Vascular.

The partnership reflects Southern Kentucky Vascular’s commitment to the region it serves and its investment in helping build a strong local healthcare workforce.
